John - I'm Jaime Harrison, and I'm running as a Democrat to beat Lindsey Graham in South Carolina. I have a major update, which is why Catherine said I should reach out.

My opponent has demonized migrants and asylum seekers, called four congresswomen of color "anti-America" and refused to condemn Trump's race-baiting, xenophobic bigotry.

I know now, more than ever, that we need to bring empathy and compassion back to Washington. Lindsey Graham's apathy is disgusting - and he has to go. But right now, we're falling short of our critical end-of-quarter goal when every fundraising deadline could be the difference between winning and losing:

We knew winning in South Carolina was never going to be easy - and if we're going to have a shot, we have to keep pace. I don't like asking for money - but if we're going to send Lindsey Graham home and flip the Senate blue, I need grassroots Democrats like you to step up and help get me back on track to win.

And it gets worse: This is going to be the most expensive race in South
Carolina history - and Lindsey Graham just had his best fundraising quarter ever.

South Carolinians cannot afford another six years of Lindsey Graham working for his corporate buddies or one more minute of him rubber-stamping the extremist Trump-McConnell agenda.

South Carolina needs someone ready to fight for the people of our state. Someone to deliver results for hardworking families. I'm a proud, lifelong South Carolinian ready to be that fighter, not only for my friends and neighbors in the Palmetto State, but also for you, John - and every other American who wants decency back in Washington.

Let me tell it to you straight: We can win in South Carolina - and we're going to do it the right way. We're building an army of grassroots supporters - not relying on deep-pocketed special interests - because I'm going to work for the people, not corporate interests like Lindsey Graham. But winning hinges on Democrats like you stepping up.
