Friend,
The second impeachment trial of Donald Trump has concluded, but we are not done holding those who sought to subvert our democracy accountable.
Let’s not forget — hours after the attack at the U.S. Capitol in January, 147 Republican members of Congress voted to overturn the 2020 election results, unphased by the deadly consequences of their seditious rhetoric continuing the big lie.
Rep. Cori Bush has introduced legislation calling for the expulsion of the 147 members of Congress and declaring that their actions have violated the 14th Amendment to the Constitution. To garner support for this resolution — we need your help to pressure Congress to act immediately.
Urge Congress to pass Rep. Bush’s resolution to expel members of the U.S. House and Senate who incited insurrectionists or voted to overturn the election.
Throughout the impeachment trial, the House impeachment managers made their case to the nation. Presented in horrific detail, the prosecution unveiled disturbing footage and audio recordings that detailed how the violent events of January 6 unfolded.
This evidence was damning in the case to convict Trump — but it’s also a powerful reminder that every individual involved in the 1/6/21 attack and the subsequent vote to throw out legitimate election results must be held fully accountable.
Write to your members of Congress to ensure that every Republican who attempted to undermine our democracy is held accountable.
Thank you,
