Week of February 15th, 2021
|
The risk of exposure to COVID-19 is still very real.
We need to be extra vigilant and mitigate the risks of infection, particularly for those who are older or who have pre-existing conditions. For the sake of our collective health, please remember to wear a mask when you leave your home, practice social distancing, and wash your hands frequently. This pandemic has shown us that the health of one is the health of all so we all need to take responsibility for our common well-being.
There are some easy ways to safely stay connected to the chapter, such as: signing-up on the front page of our website to receive our weekly newsletter, checking the calendar on the site for upcoming virtual events, and joining DSA-LA’s Slack.
In solidarity,
DSA-LA

4 Statements on Black Liberation from DSA-LA
|
It is possible that there is no more crucial issue for the American left to seriously reckon with in our current moment than the difficulty of multi-racial organizing, and in particular, building a movement that is empowering and responsive to the needs of the Black working class. This is not a new challenge for DSA, but it is one we cannot afford to ignore, nor do we intend to.
Please read four statements on Black liberation from our Chapter's Steering Committee here.

Palestine Liaisons are a team of DSA members from within DSA chapters that have identified a need for greater awareness around Palestine solidarity and BDS and increased Palestinian membership within DSA. Palestine liaisons will mobilize Palestine solidarity actions within local chapters, as well as build awareness and commitment to Palestinian liberation.
