Majority Leader Chuck Schumer didn't mince words when he called climate change “the existential threat of our time.”
Democrats are going all in on fighting climate change, and we couldn't be more excited. In the next few months, Democrats have promised to prioritize transitioning away from fossil fuel and towards creating an abundance of jobs in the clean energy sector -- and that's just the beginning.
While we're ecstatic that we have representatives who are recognizing global climate change as the serious threat it is, we know we have a long way to go before significant changes are made. Republicans are already responding with a fear-mongering propaganda war focusing on job loss, and they're introducing legislation that protects both oil pipelines and fossil fuel extraction leasing.
The majority of Americans believe in climate change, but many are split on how the U.S. should fight it. We're polling our most engaged supporters to see where they stand. Please, let us know:
