The Small Business Association (SBA), in consultation with the U.S. Treasury Department, reopened the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) for loans in January and there is still time to get your application submitted.
Roderick Johnson, Lender Relations Specialist, Small Business Administration (SBA), will present timely information for applying for this round of funding. We will also be joined by David Dockendorff, Vice President, M&T Bank and Nicholas Preusch, Tax Manager, YHB CPAs & Consultants who will be taking questions from attendees. On February 4, the Virginia Restaurant, Lodging, and Travel Association (VRLTA) announced its partnership with DoorDash to a total of $450,000 in grant money to Virginia restaurants. The purpose of the DoorDash Restaurant Operator Relief Grant (the “Grant”) is to offer relief to restaurants in Virginia. The Grant will be awarded, to applicants that are selected, via one-time grant disbursement of $3,500.

Arlington County's Complete Vaccination Committee (CVC) is looking for organizations become partners in its efforts to sharing information on the COVID-19 vaccine and to encourage participation in the vaccine program once it becomes available. CVC Partners will receive educational information about the vaccine distribution process, access to a resource toolkit, and the latest COVID-19 daily updates. Arlington County just asks that CVC Partners share information received from the CVC with their organization and network. You can sign your organization up as a CVC Partner via this simple form.

This series of networking events is open to all women to expand your network, share knowledge, exchange ideas, and offer advice. The events focus on networking to grow your business opportunities and support others who know what it’s like to be a woman in business. As an added bonus, attendees will be registered to win a $50 gift card to local woman-owned restaurant, Lebanese Taverna, compliments of Arlington Community Federal Credit Union.
The event will feature some quick tips and ideas from Rhoda Wheeler, Owner of Agents in Style Consignment Boutique, on how to define and refine your best look for presentations, including updated ideas for Zoom and other virtual events.
