Donald Trump is out of office -- but Louis DeJoy is still running the postal service. And as we saw during the recent holiday season, Trump and DeJoy's actions have created lasting damage to the post office.
Right now Joe Biden has an important opportunity to save the US Postal Service by quickly filling four vacancies on the Postal Board of Governors, with diverse and community-based members who are committed to a universal and strong postal service.
If Biden quickly appoints good people to the Postal Board of Governors, they can begin to reverse the damage Trump and DeJoy have done.

Throughout the pandemic, postal workers have been among the most essential employees―working tirelessly to deliver medication, ballots, letters, and checks.
But the leadership of the USPS deliberately slowed the mail and postal workers and the essential mail service we all rely on suffered badly.
Fortunately, there are four vacancies on the USPS Board of Governors, and President Joe Biden can fill them all, and tilt the balance of power back to a leadership that believes in the simple, universal promise of the postal service!
