RPNM Statement On Presidents Day

Albuquerque, February 15—The following is a statement from RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce on today’s observance of Presidents Day:

“We should recognize Presidents Day as a day to honor two giants of our beloved Democracy. George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, two of our greatest presidents, stood for and protected our important American rights and values. They upheld strong Constitutional principles that laid the foundation for the United States we know and love today. We can also learn from these Presidents how to be a better citizen and a better people. They promoted and sustained liberties, freedoms and fostered a courage that has helped define our great nation--a government of the people, by the people, and for the people is what we always have, and always will continue to cherish.”
