I hope you and your family are safe and well. While we are only in the second month of 2021, so much has happened here in New York City, across the nation, and in Washington. As Democrats, we not only have been dealing with the aftermath of the Capitol insurrection and second impeachment of Donald Trump, but most importantly, creating meaningful legislation to impact the diverse communities we serve. 

As such, I am taking a leading role on legislation regarding immigration.The last 4 years were filled with so much hatred and deceit towards immigrants across various communities, including my own right here in Brooklyn's 9th Congressional District.
