Yesterday’s impeachment vote to acquit Donald Trump was incredibly disappointing. 43 Republican Senators once again voted against our democracy, put their party over our country, and set a dangerous precedent.

Donald Trump should have been convicted, and our Democratic Senators stood together with the American people to try and hold him accountable for the horrific violence that he incited on January 6.

Just like with the first impeachment trial last year, we can’t afford to lose hope. We’ve defeated Donald Trump and Senate Republicans before, and now we need to ensure they never regain the Senate majority ever again.
