Republicans fell short of flipping the House by less than 32,000 votes and are just five seats away from a majority. Now, they’re looking to build on the huge gains they made in 2020 with their sights set firmly on VA-02.

Republican candidates are already lining up to challenge Elaine -- including a QAnon conspiracy believer. They know if they’re able to secure the GOP nomination, they can count on the full support of the national Republican machine to float their campaign.
