Since Donald Trump took office, he and his Republican enablers have all but abandoned our democracy, our system of checks and balances, and our rule of law -- all in pursuit of their divisive agenda. They have turned their backs on our country, one that my son, Humayun, bravely fought and died for.

We simply cannot risk four more years of a Trump presidency. That's why I'm counting on you to join me in supporting the Democratic Party before Monday's critical end-of-quarter fundraising deadline.

Since our party's historic victories in 2018, the House has passed several pieces of legislation to counteract Trump and the GOP's harmful agenda -- but these bills only languish once they reach the Senate floor. If we want to craft laws to restore and expand our country's values of decency, compassion, and rule of law, Democrats simply must win up and down the ballot in 2020.

Thankfully, the DNC knows this -- which is why they've been working hard to lay the groundwork Democrats will need to defeat Trump and Republicans next year. They've hired and trained hundreds of organizers in key battleground states, made critical improvements to the voter file, and gathered massive amounts of opposition research to use against Trump and his administration.

These initiatives are exactly what our party need to be doing now in order to win in 2020 -- and Democrats like you and I must do everything in our power to support them. Will you contribute $3 to the DNC before Monday's critical fundraising deadline?
