When I signed on to work with Dean, I was immediately struck by his in-depth knowledge of the problems with today's government and his passion for actually doing something about it.

The idea of going to Washington and really and truly repairing government was inspiring, but I knew it would not be easy.

And here we are. Fighting the good fight. Working on righting wrongs. Defending the constitution.

Pursuing an impeachment inquiry.

As Dean put it on Wednesday:

"'As Abraham Lincoln once said, borrowing from scripture, 'A house divided against itself cannot stand.' We are a nation with deep and worsening divisions and the mission of my campaign -- and my foremost priority still today -- is to do whatever I can to repair our government and our politics."

"Deep and worsening divisions." Nobody said this would be easy, right? There's a divide so deep it's hard to see the other side any more.

But Dean is here to do just that: To repair that chasm in America and see the other side, to bring us together.

To put it simply, until Dean succeeds the current system expects and demands that we raise money. We don't like it any more than you do, but there it is.
