Rita Dunaway on Jim Bohannon Constitution Day 2019: Bypassing Congress to get needed amendments

For many Americans, Washington seems like a hopeless cause.

We send a new batch of politicians to D.C. every two and four years, only to see them cave to political pressure and maintain the status quo. 

That's why, as Rita Dunaway said on a recent appearance on the Jim Bohannon show, we must look to the states.

"We need to look outside the beltway for real reform. We need to look to the states because that's where real power resides and can be used to bring about meaningful reforms," Dunaway said. 

"Article V gives the states collectively the power to bypass Congress and the whole mess we have going on in Washington in order to propose amendments to the Constitution."
