No, let's be clear:

This trial is the aftermath of an egregious attack on our democracy, and we need to set a strong precedent that what happened was unacceptable.

Innocent officials, congressional staff, and Capitol Police quite literally had their lives on the line. Five people died at the hands of these domestic terrorists. Dozens were injured.

All because our President refused to accept the results of our free and fair election.
