On February 14th, 2018, 17 lives were senselessly cut short. The devastation didn’t end that day -- 17 others were injured and embarked on a long journey of healing, and two more people ultimately were lost due to the unbearable pain and trauma. These precious lives had value, and they are missed every single day.
This same devastation is felt every time news of another gun death spreads across our social media feed.
March For Our Lives as a movement was created out of this tragedy. Every day, the work we do to end the epidemic of gun violence in our communities is in honor of the lives lost from this and many other tragedies. We won’t stop fighting until every single person in this country is able to live a life free from gun violence.
These next few days will be difficult for Parkland, Coral Springs, and Marjory Stoneman Douglas Eagles all over the country. We will be pausing communications and going dark starting tomorrow out of respect for the healing process. We’re thankful for your support and encouragement during this time.
Wishing you peace and strength,
March For Our Lives
