Hey John-

I just wanted to let you know about a rally we have coming up on Tuesday, February 16th at Noon EST. ([link removed])

Join the Declaration for American Democracy (DFAD) and Virginia Congressional members to learn why the People's Act, HR 1 is important for Virginia and what you can do to help.

If you don't know already, HR 1, The For the People Act, is a bill first introduced and passed in the United States House of Representatives in 2019 to expand voting rights, change campaign finance laws to reduce the influence of money in politics, limit partisan gerrymandering, and create new ethics rules for federal officeholders. Since its passage, it has sat on the desk of the now Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in the US Senate.

Now, that the Democrats have gained control of the Presidency, the US Senate, and the US House of Representatives. They have a fantastic opportunity to finally pass this bill to ensure free and fair elections and to as well as electing people who will represent their constituents probably. Come and hear why HR 1 is so crucial to our democracy.

Confirmed guests to date are Rep. Gerry Connolly; Matt Royer, Virginia Justice Democrats; Krysta Jones, Vote Lead Impact; and Ryan Adams, League of Conservation Voters.

Agenda and other invitees to be announced.
