Inauguration poet Amanda Gorman’s 2019 viral abortion video falls short on facts

Amanda Gorman is, without question, an impressive young woman. She is the first Youth Poet Laureate of the United States, and has read her poetry for a wide variety of audiences, ranging from the Library of Congress to MTV. What makes her success even more incredible is that she used poetry to overcome a difficult array of disabilities: a speech impediment, auditory processing disorder, and hypersensitivity to sound. She has been open about her struggle to speak, and caused the nation to fall in love with her when she spoke at Joe Biden’s inauguration. But this brilliant young poet is also an ardent supporter of abortion, and a pro-abortion poem she shared in 2019 is going viral again.

Herod’s Dance Floor that Doomed John the Baptist Discovered

It is a dramatic and gruesome account recorded in two of the Gospels of the New Testament. Herod Antipas, son of King Herod the Great, had John the Baptist executed after promising to grant any request of a woman who had pleased him with her dance. She asked for the head of John.
According to Jewish historian Flavius Josephus (AD 37-100) these events took place in AD 29 at Herod’s mountaintop citadel of Machaerus. The remains of Machaerus sit above the Dead Sea’s east shore in modern Jordan. Now, a Hungarian Franciscan team of archaeologists headed by excavation director Győző Vörös think they have discovered the pavilion at Machaerus where the deadly dance of Salome, the daughter of Herodias, elicited the fatal pronouncement.

Do You Want to Be Free?

So, there’s really only one question we each need to consider. Do you want to be free? Do you want to leave the cave? If so, you must find the truth. And once we leave the cave, we must stop acting like we still live there. The cave only ceases being reality when we accept it is not. Then we are to assist others in their finding truth.
The world economic forum’s great reset, China’s attempts to conquer America, the corruption, the virus. None of this is from God. It is contrary to our purpose. Truth, unity, and virtue (becoming good) all come from following God. Is that what we see today? I think we are seeing an awakening that evil forces are trying to keep tamped down. We are taking back our true identity as God’s creation. Truth always wins, as long as we stand in it and for it.
