Common grace

Dear supporter,
Our new leaflet on common grace – the Bible’s teaching about the goodness God shows to all people, whether they believe in him or not – is now available online.

In a fallen world, how is it that unbelieving men and women are capable of great acts of kindness, can experience a measure of joy and happiness, and possess wonderful skills and talents? Why is it God “causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous” (Matthew 5:45)?
The essential doctrine of common grace powerfully explains the world we live in and informs how we should act towards unbelievers. Our new leaflet is just an introduction to the topic. Please share it with a friend if you can. You can download several of our other publications at the bottom of this email.
God’s common grace restrains evil and enables human life to flourish. Marriage, governments and the conscience are all part of this. Only saving grace in Christ can give you a new heart, but common grace restrains the heart. Our society rejects God’s common grace at its peril.
During these strange and difficult times, we can rejoice that God is still at work in both his saving and common grace. Let’s give thanks to him for his indescribable kindness, and pray that he will be glorified in our day.
