Friends,

I wanted to reach out today and give you a few updates on my
work in Congress. I'm working with House Democrats and the
Biden-Harris administration to help our nation recover from the
division of the past four years and take action on COVID-19,
climate change, affordable healthcare, and so much more.

Here are just a few highlights from Capitol Hill:

Speaker Pelosi personally asked me to return to the House
Committee on the Budget for the 117th Congress. I'm eager to take
a leading role in shaping the federal budget and investing in the
issues that matter most. And I'm glad to be able to stand up for
San Diego families as a member of this crucial committee.

I reintroduced the bipartisan Health STATISTICS Act to improve
data sharing efforts for our COVID-19 response. This legislation
will answer calls from public health experts to improve data
collection and reporting on COVID-19 and I'm pleased to work
across the aisle to help our nation recover from this crisis.

I'm working with my colleagues in the House to provide
additional COVID-19 relief and adequate vaccine distribution.
California is one of the hardest hit states in the nation and I'm
demanding COVID-19 relief for San Diego families right now.

It's a privilege to represent San Diego in Congress -- and I
couldn't do any of this without you. Let's get to work!

Thank you,

Scott
