And too many of us are suffering from the unholy trinity of unbearable student loan debt, skyrocketing housing prices, and the uptick of injustice and bigotry. Having lost confidence in many of our political leaders, now is the time for us to stand-up, and ask the hard questions to the candidates running for President of the United States of America.
 
Mayor Pete is in his eighth and final year as mayor of South Bend, Indiana. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserve and was deployed to Afghanistan. Pete currently lives with his husband Chasten in the same South Bend neighborhood where he grew up.
