The GOP doesn't care about ending the pandemic. They just care about advancing their exclusionary, anti-immigrant agenda.
Rep. Steve Scalise released a statement saying he wants the Biden administration to “abandon this ridiculous plan” to let undocumented people get the COVID-19 vaccine.
There are undocumented essential workers. There are undocumented seniors. There are undocumented educators. There are undocumented people who work and live in our neighborhoods and make up the very fabric of our communities.
With Biden in the White House, we're already starting to undo some of the harm Trump's cruel immigration policies have inflicted. Biden already signed an executive order to create a pathway to citizenship for millions.
But xenophobic, racist Republicans refuse to see immigrants as anything but subhuman, and they're trying to bar undocumented people from getting aid even as a virus that ignores citizenship status rampages across our country.
It's crucial that all Americans, regardless of citizenship status, get the help they need, especially as new variants of COVID-19 emerge and more essential workers report getting infected. That's why we're asking passionate supporters like you to show the GOP their views are outdated and racist:
