Hi,

Ted Cruz just met with Donald Trump's impeachment lawyers and he didn't even bother to hide it.

If you're not surprised, I don't blame you. Ted Cruz has sold his soul to Donald Trump and has been waging war on our democracy for months now. However, this news is BIG.

Why? Because this is an active, ongoing trial -- and Senators like Cruz have the role of jurors. They are expected to be impartial judges. They took an oath, under the Senate impeachment rules, to do so.

Here is what that oath says: "I solemnly swear (or affirm) that in all things appertaining to the trial of ____, now pending, I will do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws, so help me God."

And here is what Ted Cruz said about his meeting with Trump's lawyers: "We were discussing their strategy for tomorrow and we were sharing our thoughts in terms of where the argument was and where it should go."

I believe Ted Cruz is an existential threat to our democracy. He showed it when he encouraged armed terrorists to storm our Capitol last month, and he showed it again today. If you believe this too, I'm asking you to chip in $7 right now to kick Ted Cruz out of office:
