Hey team,
Trump’s second impeachment trial is currently underway in the Senate. The impeachment managers have made an excellent case and have shown new and damning clips of the Jan. 6th insurrection.
But Republicans are holding on to their belief that Donald Trump has zero culpability. So, we wanted to get your take -- do you think the Senate should convict Donald Trump after the violent attack on the Capitol he incited that took multiple lives and threatened to overturn our democracy?
In press conferences, tweets, and rallies, Donald Trump and his co-conspirators purposefully inflamed their supporters with misinformation about the election being “stolen” from them. On January 6th, they directed a violent and armed mob to the Capitol with chants of “fight for Trump” and “stop the steal.”
And yet, Trump has refused to take even an ounce of responsibility for the violent attack on the Capitol. And if left unchecked, any president who loses an election will be motivated to do the same thing. That’s not America.
However, we want to know what YOU think. Do you think Trump should get off scot-free and face zero consequences for inciting a riot that left 5 people dead and hundreds injured? Tell us what you think!
Thanks for sharing your input!
