ICE will never stop hurting people. Moments before Trump left office, Trump’s acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security signed an agreement with the ICE union stating that the Biden-Harris Administration must get the ICE union’s approval before implementing any changes to the agency.

If this agreement is not cancelled, the ICE union, which endorsed Trump’s 2020 Presidential run, would have final approval on MANY policy changes that seek to protect immigrants in detention, asylum seekers, and our entire immigrant communities. We can’t let this happen.

Send a letter to the new DHS Secretary Alex Mayorkas and demand that he CANCELS this Trump-era agreement with ICE.

Time is running out - the Biden-Harris administration has until February 17th to cancel the agreement or else it will go into effect for the next 8 years.

Friend — it is ICE’s mission to deport as many people as possible and that will never change. We must unite to ensure that any victories to hold ICE accountable and defund them are NOT held back because of this last-minute, Trump-era agreement.

It’s no secret that ICE and Trump were best friends. The Trump Adminsitration’s last minute agreement with the ICE union was a desparate attempt to cement his white supremacist and cruel agenda. Throughout four years, ICE targeted our community and they will not let go of their increased powers so easily.
