John,
First, the bad news: our fundraising slowed since last month, but we're at a point where we need to stay strong.
From leading efforts to investigate what led up to the January 6th insurrection, to fighting for relief for our communities and getting ready to roll out legislation that will meet the needs of our children and families, Jamaal has spent every minute in Congress fighting for our communities and causing problems for the status quo. But without adequate fundraising, it'll be more difficult to spread the word about the work that Jamaal is doing in office — both current and future.
Now, the good news: Jamaal has now been in Congress for over a month, and our movement only continues to push forward. We've been laser-focused not only on creating big, bold policies to build a better future, but also meeting the immediate needs of our communities.
Above all, the bottom line is this: we organize to support each other, meet the needs of our community, and build the progressive movement. What we're striving to do goes far beyond winning elections — and it's something we need to continuously sustain.
Thank you, and more soon,
Team Bowman
