Dear Friend,

On this day in 1809, Charles Darwin, one of the world's greatest scientists was born. Today we are asking your help in honoring his scientific contributions to society by demanding that science be protected from political interference.

H.R. 849, The Scientific Integrity Act (one of SCA’s top legislative priorities for the 117th Congress) was introduced this past week by Rep. Paul Tonko (D-NY-20).

The Scientific Integrity Act protects federally funded scientists and their work from political influence. This important legislation prevents the politicizing of scientific findings, and allows the experts the ability to share their work directly and honestly with the American people.

Tell Congress to Protect Scientific Integrity!
Charles Darwin
The past year has demonstrated the importance of clear, concise, and accurate dissemination of scientific facts, and the harm that can be done when those facts are distorted for political gain. It is more important than ever that our scientists are able to perform their work without fear of political reprisal, or the distortion of their findings from politicians.

Your voice is important, and we ask that you please join us in calling for the passage of H.R. 849, the Scientific Integrity Act by clicking the button below. Together, we can ensure that science, not politics, dictates policy.

Thank you and happy Darwin Day!
I want to help!
