Former acting Customs and Border Patrol commissioner Mark Morgan appeared on Fox News to spew racist, anti-immigrant rhetoric:
“With a stroke of a pen, just a couple hours after Biden took office, he has made our borders less secure, our country less safe.”
The GOP is determined to keep demonizing and dehumanizing immigrants. GOP Sen. Tom Cotton said in a statement that the Biden administration shouldn't reward undocumented immigrants “for breaking our laws” -- even though researchers like sociologists from the University of Wisconsin found that undocumented immigrants commit substantially less crime than citizens born in the U.S.
Republicans will stop at nothing to try and tank the Biden administration's new efforts to help immigrant communities, even if it means spewing more racist, xenophobic lies. That's why we're asking you today to affirm what we know: immigrants are integral, key parts of America. We need you to help us show the GOP that their views are out of step with the people:
