The Unz Review Digest - February 12, 2021

Ranking first this last week was the Saker’s article discussing the bizarre behavior of the European Union towards Russia and other international issues, with its corrupt and compromised leadership unable to think logically about their national interests and instead continuing to promote hostility for less than logical reasons.

Second place was held by James Thompson’s analysis of the possible side effects of the Covid-19 vaccinations, which as usual provoked a heavy outpouring of wildly divergent views, on the disease, its causes, and the vaccines used to treat it, totaling more than 350 comments and almost 60,000 words.

The next two featured articles by John Derbyshire and C.J. Hopkins respectively, discussed the aftermath of the disputed presidential election and storming of the US Capitol building, along with the severe resulting crackdown on dissident political voices.  The former noting the extremely different official reaction to the violent Black Lives Matter and Antif riots that spent weeks raging in up to 200 Americans cities, while the latter argued that the Global War on Terror has now come home to domestic American society.

Our fifth most popular feature was Philip Giraldi’s focus on the further Zionist takeover of the American government under the Biden Administration, with yet another zealous partisan of Israel being given a top-level job in the national security apparatus.

Finally, Robert Stark analyzing the racial and ethnic pattern of current birth rates in California, which seem to have sharply declined across almost all groups.

Introducing the headless chicken The EU has a major problem: it is run by a comprador class which is entirely dependent on the United States. Okay, that by itself is not the problem I am referring to. The problem I am referring to is one we could call the problem of the decapitated chicken: a... Read More
In this part of the world, the first side effect of vaccines has been political. Europe’s nations are now competing to get vaccinated, and the ructions have been considerable. From the start, the UK took a vaccine friendly stance. Early on it decided that vaccination was the long-term solution, and all else was merely a... Read More
[Excerpted from the latest Radio Derb, now available exclusively through VDARE.com] A leading candidate for the title Truer Words Were Never Said is surely T.S. Eliot's observation that, If you want a set, that quote pairs off nicely with science fiction writer and occasional LSD user Philip K. Dick's observation in a speech he gave... Read More

It does not require any particularly perspicacity to realize that the President Joe Biden Administration has been loaded with Zionists who not only believe in their own vision for Greater Israel but also in some cases have strong and enduring ties to the Israeli government itself. The new Secretary of State Tony Blinken comes from... Read More
If you enjoyed the Global War on Terror, you’re going to love the new War on Domestic Terror! It’s just like the original Global War on Terror, except that this time the “Terrorists” are all “Domestic Violent Extremists” (“DVEs”), “Homegrown Violent Extremists” (“HVEs”), “Violent Conspiracy-Theorist Extremists” (“VCTEs”), “Violent Reality Denialist Extremists” (VRDEs”), “Insurrectionary Micro-Aggressionist Extremists”... California’s population growth is at its lowest recorded level since 1900 adding “just 21,200 residents” in the fiscal year that ended on July 1, which was just a “0.05% increase.” This decline is in large part due to the post-pandemic exodus on top of an already rapidly ageing population. The average fertility rate for Californians... Read More
I’m in downtown Tirana. My 7th floor room has a fridge, desk, three chairs and a wardrobe. There’s also an electric kettle, which is useful not just for hot beverages, but instant noodles and soups. Heat is love. My private bathroom is clean and new, with plenty of hot water, and strong shower jets. My... Read More
Pandering to Israel as part of the political process in the United States has become part of the DNA of both major parties. The job of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations must have some kind of curse on it as it seems to attract a type of woman who seeks to prove her suitability... Read More

Oscar Brisset: Welcome to the first event of the Oxford Economics Society for this academic year. I’m Oscar, the Co-President of our society, and I’m glad to welcome you back for another term of exciting discussions. Although we were hoping last term to be back in-person by January, due to the worsening Covid-19 situation in... Read More
With Trump out of office, now would be a good time to critically re-examine one of the most remarkable, and ultimately problematic, features of his time as President — the extravagant support he enjoyed from evangelical Christians and the resurgence of Christian Zionism. Back in November, I linked Trump’s popularity among Red State Christians to... Read More
How Our Lying Press Would Have Spun Jan 6 Protest If Trump Were A Democrat

Video and narration by Noah Arnold. See it, and more, on VDARE-TV. VDARE.com Editor Peter Brimelow was not at the January 6 Patriot protests at the U.S. Capitol, just as he was not at the 2017 Charlottesville Unite The Right Rally (although PayPal cut VDARE.com off anyway). But afterwards, on January 15, he tweeted: He... Read More
Dirty Harry (1971) is a compelling neo-noir thriller about San Francisco Police Inspector Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood), who is increasingly forced to choose between liberal legal norms and bringing a sadistic serial killer known as Scorpio to justice. Once Harry kills Scorpio, the movie ends with him throwing away his badge, symbolizing a momentous decision.... Read More
One of the great paradoxes of American democracy is that much of what makes it worth having also renders it vulnerable to mortal threats. This is particularly true when the threats are internal, and the domestic enemies adept at using their constitutionally guaranteed rights and privileges to gnaw away at the society that nurtured and... 2020 saw 14% more deaths than average, last year in England & Wales and that amounted to seventy-five thousand extra deaths. We here use the Office of National statistics figures, as it gives total weekly deaths, plus also for comparison an average value of corresponding weekly deaths over the previous five years.[1] That compares with... Millionaires want to make money. Billionaires want to make history. We may add that multi-billionaires take it further; they want mankind to adapt to their needs and wishes. As for people who control trillions, why, they care about our wishes as much as we care about ants while sweeping the garden. We do not apply... Read More
The New York Times is hostile to free speech. Last year, it published a column with the title “Free Speech is Killing Us.” Nor is the Times friendly to whites. Onetime editorial board member Sarah Jeong complained — among many other things — about “dumbass f**king white people marking up the internet with their opinions... Read More
Jews in America and particularly in the South have been energized by the election of Jon Ossoff to the Senate, the first Jew from Georgia to have that distinction. He was buoyed by the strong appeal to Black voters of fellow candidate the Rev. Raphael Warnock, who, as one commentator said, “had the coattails that... Read More
Imagine if the Covid vaccine actually contributed to the spread of the infection rather than stopping it. Can you imagine what a catastrophe that would be? Unfortunately, there are signs that that is precisely what is happening in the countries that have implemented the most aggressive vaccination programs. Take Israel, for example. In the last... Parasite’s grin: Bibi Netanyahu greets Jonathan Pollard, the Jewish spy who did huge harm to his “own nation” of America on behalf of Israel Like all decent people, I stand unshakably with the powerless Jewish community against the vile scourge of anti-Semitism and anti-Jewish racism. And in order to better defend cowering Jews against their... Read More
Future historians may register it as the day when usually unflappable Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov decided he had had enough: Josep Borrell, the EU foreign policy chief, on an official visit to Moscow, had to take it on the chin. Lavrov, always the perfect gentleman, added, “I hope that the strategic review that will... Read More
