John,
Seniors should be a natural Democratic constituency. After all, Democrats are the party of protecting and expanding Social Security and Medicare, and fighting for lower prescription drug prices, while the last 2 Republican presidencies have featured high-profile attempts to privatize and defund Social Security. But too many seniors have had their brains poisoned by the lies of Fox News―but they’re waking up.
Joe Biden did better with seniors in 2020 than Hilary Clinton did in 2016. And if Democrats want to keep the House and grow their Senate majority in 2022, we need to start organizing seniors NOW. We’ve got a plan to do that―meeting seniors where they are, going into seniors centers, retirement communities, and more.
The problem is that our fundraising in 2021 is roughly half of what it was last year. But this month we have an opportunity to fully fund our senior organizing campaign, if we can generate enough votes in February’s CREDO voting.
Click here to vote for Social Security Works and help us earn as large a share as possible of CREDO’s $150,000 grant.
CREDO―a progressive phone company that donates a portion of its proceeds each month to progressive nonprofits―has been a critical ally in our fight to protect and expand Social Security. And while we’re off to a great start in February’s voting, we need to expand our lead if we’re going to expand Social Security in 2021.
If you’ve already voted for Social Security Works in February’s CREDO voting, thank you! If you can, chip in to fully fund our senior organizing campaign.
But, if you haven’t voted yet, we need your help today! It only takes a few seconds.
Click here to vote for Social Security Works and help fund our senior organizing campaign to protect and expand Social Security.
Thank you for all that you do to address the retirement income crisis and to strengthen and expand Social Security for generations to come.
