Team -

Later this month we could hear some BIG news from the U.S. Supreme
Court. The state of Mississippi has asked the Court to review our case
challenging a ban on abortion after just 15 weeks of pregnancy-a
direct challenge to Roe v. Wade.

As we await a decision from the Supreme Court about whether it will
hear our case-and continue our work litigating dozens of other
cases across the U.S.-we know that we'll need supporters like
you by our side.

Pre-viability abortion bans like this one have been unconstitutional
since the Supreme Court's 1973 Roe ruling. If the Court chooses to
review this case, it will be the first such ban to go before the
Justices since that landmark ruling. That should set off alarm bells
for us all.

Abortion remains legal in Mississippi for now, but like in many
states, it is already a hollow right for many for whom the barriers to
access care are simply too high-in particular, Black people,
communities of color, and people living in poverty. Mississippi
legislators have targeted abortion care with so many restrictions over
the years that there is only one clinic left in the state. With this
case, Mississippi seeks to advance its strategy of eliminating
abortion access entirely.

Thanks to our Champions, we are hard at work protecting reproductive
rights and abortion access in Mississippi and around the world.
