Washington is beyond broken –– but not beyond repair.

 

With career politicians like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Joe Biden at the helm of our government, the DC Swamp is coming back to life and business is booming for liberal lobbying firms up and down K Street.

 

The cycle of special-interest peddling never seems to stop, and it’s unacceptable. 

 

I treat each term in Congress like a deployment –– one where you have to get the job done at all costs, and where failure is NEVER an option. 

 

That’s why I introduced a series of bills last month aimed at draining the Swamp, and I’m going to need your help to spread the word so that we can get Congress back to serving the people –– not the Swamp.

 

Here’s what those bills included:

• Term limits for anyone serving in the House and the Senate.

• 5-year lobbying ban for politicians after they leave the halls of Congress.

• No more lifetime taxpayer-funded pensions for members of Congress.

• Require Congress to stay in session until a BALANCED budget is passed.

John, repairing Washington and getting Congress back to work is easier said than done, but I believe wholeheartedly that it can –– and MUST –– be done.

 

We owe it to future generations of Americans to hold our government accountable to the standard outlined by our Founding Fathers so that the American people can reap the full benefits of a well-oiled democracy.

 

Congress isn’t even close to meeting that standard right now –– and that’s why I need your help to spread the word so that we can get these common-sense reforms signed into law.
