Friend, I'm writing to you today because my good friend Mark Warner is up for re-election in 2020.

While he’s focused on earning Virginians’ support for his own campaign, he’s also busy lending a hand to local candidates for the General Assembly.

But Mark has a big FEC fundraising deadline approaching so I told him I’d take a moment and ask his supporters if they could chip in ahead of the deadline.

He’s been campaigning hard in the run-up to Election Day because we have a chance to secure a Democratic majority in the House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate. Turning the General Assembly blue will allow us to finally pass commonsense legislation that’ll help every Virginian.

I gotta say though: winning back the General Assembly is no sure thing. We have a tough fight on our hands in 2019 — and in 2020. Every penny we raise will help spread our positive Democratic message to more voters across the Commonwealth.

One of Mark’s opponents is saying the Virginia Senate seat is a top three pickup for the GOP, and Donald Trump is sending operatives to our Commonwealth in an effort to both defeat Mark and turn Virginia red next year.

We need to both re-take the General Assembly this year, and raise enough money so Mark can defend his seat next year.

That way, he can continue his good work in the Senate securing our elections from foreign attacks, protecting health care for folks with pre-existing conditions, and making sure working people can get ahead — and stay ahead.

Will you join me in supporting Mark’s campaign by pitching in?

Thanks,
Tim
