Thank you for your dedication,

The Actors Fund

Dear John,

The performing arts industry has been turned upside down by the COVID-19 pandemic, but you have provided an urgently needed support system to actors, singers, dancers, stage managers and other professionals who have fallen on hard times. When members of our community have nowhere else to turn, they know they can rely on The Actors Fund—and on you.

We are counting on your support for our 2021 Annual Fund Drive today. Please make a gift now to help provide a vital safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals in need.

Thanks to your generosity, we have:

  • Served over 36,000 clients across all programs and services nationwide and provided more than $19.3 million in emergency financial assistance to over 15,000 individuals in response to requests for assistance due to COVID-19. This is more than nine times the amount usually distributed in a regular year!
  • Successfully and safely completed a $10 million renovation of The Palm View residence in West Hollywood. All residents are people living with disabilities and/or HIV/AIDS, including many seniors. The residence remained COVID-19 free and the modernization of the units and common spaces has resulted in a more efficient and enjoyable facility.
  • Launched our Every Artist Insured initiative and helped nearly 2,000 entertainment industry professionals access and use the health benefits they are entitled to through the Artists Health Insurance Resource Center and Entertainment Health Insurance Solutions.

The Actors Fund is working hard to expand our outreach nationally while also being responsive to new and unexpected challenges as they arise for those in need. We know that life in this industry is unpredictable, paychecks don’t always cover the bills and even very successful careers can quickly be derailed by illness, injury and the ongoing national pandemic.

Your gift towards our 2021 Annual Fund Drive will help The Actors Fund fulfill our promise to provide help whenever our community needs us.
