I want to check in with you about the attacks on our democracy. From working to undermine the electoral college count to instituting strict voter ID laws to gerrymandering districts, the Republicans have built their political power by sticking to their rotten playbook. You might remember in 2010 and 2014 when Democrats faced major losses in state houses and in Congress -- that was largely caused by two things: Democrats did not feel the urgent need to protect our progress and Republicans knew how to motivate people with fear tactics and lies.

My team and I have been talking about this a lot lately. We know that Republicans and dark money donors are making their plans to invest heavily in races like ours, whether that be on attack ads or in their local party infrastructure. At this point, I feel a personal responsibility to ensure southeast Pennsylvania remains blue.

So I've set a goal of raising $20,000 by the end of this month to invest in my staff, resources, and our long-term fight to continue delivering for families and children. We've got about $16,500 left to raise -- and I'm hoping I can count on you to give $5, $10, $25, or whatever you can to keep us on track to protect this seat and our progress.
