Dear John,

Thank you to everyone who joined our “Tutoring as an Emergency Response” forum Wednesday, making it the most well-attended virtual event in our history.

The full video from the event is now available on YouTube.
The forum provided an opportunity for unique dispatches from the field:
  • TennesseeCAN’s Victor Evans shared insights into how the Volunteer State was able to quickly pass legislation establishing a state-wide $120 million tutoring corps serving 200,000 eligible students.
  • ConnCAN’s Subira Gordon previewed the work underway right now in the Constitution State to leverage federal education dollars to make access to tutoring more equitable.
  • Transform Education Now’s Nicholas Martinez stressed the importance of centering parent voices, sharing insights from the over 10,000 phone calls his team had with families that led to their $50 million tutoring plan.
We hope you make time to watch the event. We'd also love to hear from you about the work you are doing on this critical issue so that our teams can learn from your efforts as well.

Best,
