Join the Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness (ACEH) and the Anchorage Homebuilders Association (AHBA) via Facebook Live on Tuesday February 16, 2021 from 6PM-8PM for the 2021 Anchorage Mayoral Housing and Homelessness Town Hall. Mayoral candidates will share their approach and policy visions on housing and homelessness in Anchorage.
Participants will include:

* Forrest Dunbar
* Bill Evans
* Bill Falsey
* George Martinez
* Mike Robbins

The Anchorage Home Builder’s Association (AHBA) and the Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness (ACEH) have partnered with the Anchorage Daily News, Rasmuson Foundation, and Northrim Bank to host this important community conversation.

The Town Hall discussions are not intended as a means for AHBA or ACEH to vet candidates for support, or for candidates to compete for our approval. Our organizations/industry have distinct but frequently overlapping interests in these topics, and agree they are of critical importance to voters and the future of our community. Our goal is to provide candidates with a platform to engage prospective voters on issues of great importance and concern to members of our community regardless of their political inclinations.

The State of Alaska announced on 2/10/21 that Phase 1b Tier 2 of the COVID-19 Vaccination schedule is opening up. ACEH continues to work with the Anchorage Health Department and the Emergency Operations Center to get the most current information as the vaccine distribution plans continue to develop. At this time, many of our clients and service providers will become eligible for vaccine appointments. For specifics, read on. We will continue to share developing information on our Facebook Page ([link removed]) .

The following people will be eligible to receive the vaccine as part of Phase 1b Tier 2:
* Persons aged 50 years and above who have a high-risk medical conditions
* Frontline essential workers, working in close proximity to others (< 6 feet) age 50 and above;
* Pandemic response staff who may come into contact with Covid-19 infected persons during outbreak response activities;
* Education staff, limited to: PreK–12 educators and support staff; childcare workers and support staff; and Indigenous language and culture bearers;
* People living or working in other congregate settings not covered in Phase 1a, limited to:
+ Acute psychiatric facilities;
+ Correctional settings;
+ Group homes for individuals with disabilities or mental and behavioral health conditions:
+ Homeless and domestic violence shelters:
+ Substance misuse and treatment residential facilities; and
+ Transitional living homes

ACEH is the convening body of the Homeless Prevention & Response System (HPRS), often also referred to as the Continuum of Care (CoC).

** How do I become an ACEH member?

Individuals and organizations interested in participating in ACEH are encouraged to fill out an ACEH Membership Application ([link removed]) . This application offers membership and voting opportunities to guide ACEH and the Anchorage Homeless Response System in its work to make homelessness in our community rare, brief and one-time.

Membership scholarships are available for an agency or individual who lacks the financial resources as determined by the Advisory Council. Membership fees are waived for individuals experiencing homelessness or those with lived experience.
