It’s been almost two years to the day since universal background checks passed in the House. At that time, we had a gun safety majority in the House — but Mitch McConnell and his NRA allies in the Senate let the legislation sit and never see the light of day.

Right now, we have our best shot in years to pass universal background checks into law. We have a gun safety House AND Senate, and a president who will sign the bill when it reaches his desk. But we need to get them to act now.
