Dear John,

Now that President Biden has repealed the Muslim ban and our country is on track to undo the damage of the past four years, many are wondering: what's next for our community and our loved ones in Iran? And how can we make sure no such discriminatory ban ever again takes hold?

On Monday, February 22 at 5pm PT/8pm ET NIAC Seattle will be hosting a panel entitled “Biden Reverses the Muslim Ban: What’s Next for Iranian Americans” to explore these questions and more.

Washington State Solicitor General Noah Purcell, who argued the successful lawsuit halting the first iteration of Donald Trump’s Muslim ban, will provide opening remarks. We'll also hear from Sahar Fathi, Policy Director for the Washington State Attorney General’s Office and Tanya Fekri, Director of UW Student Legal Services & Attorney/Owner of the Law Office of Tanya Fekri, PLLC.

Please note that this is not a legal clinic, so we will not be addressing questions you may have on a specific personal case. We recommend that you consult with your lawyer on any case-specific questions.

The panel discussion will be followed by a live Q&A. This is a unique opportunity to ask questions of our panelists about the Muslim Ban and next steps. You can submit your questions ahead of time when you RSVP.
