John,
February is Black History Month, where we pay tribute to the history and achievements of Black Americans. It has never been more important to learn and reflect on the importance of Black history throughout our nation.
Our country has made tremendous progress in striving for equality — for the first time in our nation’s history we elected a Black woman Vice President of the United States. While there is much to celebrate this month, we still have a lot of work ahead of us to ensure equality for all.
If we stand together, I’m confident that our nation will move forward. This February, I want you to join me in remembering those who have shaped Black history and the important work they have done to better our nation.
Thank you,
Mike Thompson |
