It’s true, folks! Gov. Tony Evers announced this past week that his 2021-2023 state budget will propose legalizing medical and recreational marijuana -- a move that could generate $166 MILLION in revenue.
But Gov. Evers didn’t stop there. He plans to invest that $166 million into uplifting communities that have been disproportionately affected by past marijuana enforcement -- like Black, Indigineous, and people of color (BIPOC) communities, women, and veterans.
Now, we want to show Governor Evers what folks here in Wisconsin and across the country think about this ambitious proposal. Take our one-click survey right now.
Do you support Gov. Evers plan to legalize marijuana and reinvest the revenue into BIPOC communities, women, and veterans?
Let’s be clear: even the introduction of this progressive budget item is a major win, but now we need to work just as hard to get it passed.
BIPOC communities have been unfairly targeted by discriminatory and biased marijuana laws for too long -- and with policy like what Governor Evers is proposing, we can begin to undo some of this historic harm.
In order to address this unjust structure, we all must have our voices heard on Governor Evers plan to legalize marijuana. Take our one-question survey right now to let us know where you stand. (We promise we’ll follow up with your thoughts in a couple of days!)

Thanks for all you do,
