With just weeks left in his presidency, Trump attempted to auction off oil rights in the Arctic Refuge. The Trump administration’s effort to hand over the ANWR to oil and gas companies was an attack on wildlife and public lands — and an assault on the sacred lands and sovereignty of the Gwich’in Nation, who have called the Arctic Refuge their home for thousands of years.
