Senate File 708, introduced by Senator Koran, would ban Ranked Choice Voting in Minnesota.

Dear John,

Our opponents are at it again: this week, Senator Mark Koran introduced a bill to BAN Ranked Choice Voting in Minnesota. This is an attempt to not only usurp local control but also prohibit a reform that has so much potential to strengthen our democracy and more and more communities want to use.

As the events of January 6th and the second impeachment trial have laid bare, now is the time for reforms like RCV that create a stronger, more inclusive, and more representative democracy for all Americans.

We successfully defeated this preemption measure last year and the year before that and we will do it again, but we need your help.

Will you chip in whatever you can right now so we can fight back? Our generous supporters are matching every donation in February - dollar for dollar - up to $100,000 and we urgently need your support.

Thanks to donors like you, our organizing for democracy reform has not slowed, and your continued support will help us beat back efforts to reverse our incredible wins.

We expect resistance like this on the road to progress, and with your support we  will overcome it. Join us in making sure that the Minnesota Senate hears quickly and in no uncertain terms that they are on the wrong side of this issue and cannot block progress.

Sincerely,

The FairVote Minnesota Team
