Stream Yana Wana’s Legend of the Blue Bonnet

Set in Laredo, this play for young audiences presents Native dances, ancient traditions, and an alternative, Native-origin story about the first bluebonnets in Texas. Produced and recorded by the Indigenous Cultures Institute and Austin’s Teatro Vivo. Tickets are $14.95 for household view and $8.95 for single viewer.

LA-based artist, dancer, and choreographer Madeline Hollander’s first solo exhibition in Texas repurposes retired fire hoses from the Austin Fire Department to create a choreographic map for movement improvised by dancers from the UT Department of Theatre and Dance. The exhibition runs through March 27 and is free and open to the public.
