According to The New York Times, Joe Biden's immigration priorities “are already facing resistance from immigration agents empowered by Donald Trump to take their gloves off.”

Emboldened by the former white supremacist-in-chief, ICE was given free rein to terrorize immigrant communities for four years. Now, we need to ensure the agency adheres to Biden's executive orders to reform Trump's dangerous agenda.

The architect of Trump's anti-immigration agenda, Stephen Miller, callously warned that “they are not going to be able to get people to change their deeply held convictions.” Coming from a known white supremacist, we know exactly what those convictions are.

In the past, Progressive Democrats like Rep. Pramila Jayapal have been deemed ‘too radical' for pursuing reforms to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, but we believe it's past time we take action. That's why today we need to know where the American people stand on defending our most vulnerable communities.
