Give today for our 25th anniversary & your gift will be TRIPLED!

Dear Friend,

This month, Democracy Now! turns 25—that means we're celebrating a quarter-century of bringing you hard-hitting, independent news from the front lines of the movements changing the world.

We've gotten this far because of you, our dedicated global audience, and we can only move forward into our next 25 years with you in our corner.

Can we count on you to donate $25 or more to Democracy Now! today, in honor of our 25th anniversary?

Right now a generous donor will TRIPLE your gift to Democracy Now!, making your tax-deductible donation THREE TIMES as valuable.

DONATE TODAY & TRIPLE YOUR IMPACT!
Your donation today—before midnight tonight—will be triple matched through this special birthday offer. But don't delay!

Triple match your $25 donation!
Triple match your $75 donation!
Triple match your $150 donation!
Triple match your $500 donation!
Triple match your $2,000 donation!
We recognize this is a difficult time for so many, but if you're able to support Democracy Now! with a donation, please do so today.

Democracy Now! started in 1996 as the only daily election show in public broadcasting. When the election was over, we realized that our work holding government and corporate power accountable was even more critical than before—because the corporate media wasn't going to do it.

Over the past four years, corporate media outlets have been on the defensive, viciously targeted by President Trump as the "enemy of the people." Trump is no longer in the White House, but the need for accountability and grassroots change is only growing in this age of COVID-19, ecological devastation and extreme inequality.

Today, more than ever, we need a media that will continue to ask the hard questions and challenge those in power, no matter who is in the White House.
DONATE TODAY & TRIPLE YOUR IMPACT!
Yesterday, we spoke with two disability rights activists in the Bay Area, Alice Wong and Rabbi Elliot Kukla, about growing calls to prioritize giving COVID vaccines to people with physical and mental disabilities.

Some states, including California, are failing to do so, even though studies show people with disabilities are up to three times more likely to die from COVID-19.
Give today & triple your impact!
“I use a ventilator to breathe, and I have respiratory failure. If I get the virus, I will not survive. That is a certainty,” said Wong, who has yet to receive the vaccine. She is the founder of the Disability Visibility Project.

When Democracy Now! covers a story, we stay with it—sometimes for years.

In 2016, Democracy Now! traveled to the Standing Rock reservation in North Dakota to cover the epic resistance of thousands who gathered to oppose the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL). On that Labor Day weekend, DAPL security guards unleashed dogs and pepper spray on Native Americans seeking to protect their sacred lands. Democracy Now! caught it all on video.
Our footage was viewed over 14 million times in just 24 hours and picked up by corporate media outlets across the country and around the world.

Since airing this special report over four years ago, Democracy Now! has continued to cover the Indigenous-led fight against DAPL and the fossil fuel industry.

Today we reported on an extraordinary action by Indigenous youth, who braved subzero temperatures to run a 93-mile relay to the site of the 2016 #NoDAPL protests, to draw attention to the issue and call on Biden to shut down the pipeline. While President Biden has canceled the Keystone XL pipeline, he has yet to end DAPL.
Your gift today will go 3x as far!
“We are fighting for our spirit and our lives, that the human-caused climate catastrophe threatens not only everyone who’s alive at this very moment, but all of our children,” said Chase Iron Eyes in a new video calling on Biden to shut down DAPL.
If you think stories about corporate and government abuses of power need to be heard, make your gift to support Democracy Now! today.

DONATE TODAY & TRIPLE YOUR IMPACT!
We've always produced our daily news hour at a fraction of the budget of a commercial news operation—all without ads, government funding or corporate sponsorship. How is this possible? Only with your support.

That's why we're asking for your donation today, when we need it most.

With your support, Democracy Now! is training the next generation of independent journalists through our internship and fellowship programs. Our education program—which has gone virtual because of the pandemic—teaches hundreds of students about fearless, truth-seeking journalism in this time of disinformation and lies.

All of this is only possible with your financial support.

You can click here to donate right now, or call us at 1-888-999-3877 (toll free in U.S.) or +1-212-431-9090 (dial 2).
