People need relief now.

That’s why House Democrats are moving forward with a COVID relief package
that provides survival checks to help working families recover from this
pandemic.

But, in the Senate, Republicans and even some Democrats want to reduce the
eligibility for checks from $75,000 annual income, to $50,000 – and use
2019 income as the benchmark. In other words, working class people who got
checks from Trump would not get them from Biden.

letter to your Senators right now demanding that they hold firm and give
Americans the relief they were promised.

For years, Republicans have given away huge tax breaks and bailouts to
corporations and special interests. They never means-tested those
subsidies, so why are we doing it now for working people struggling in a
crisis?

As legislators and elected officials, it’s Congress’ job to help people.
Right now, we are wasting time and delaying critical aid to the American
people. As Alexandria said: “Just help people!”
