Stacey Abrams has issued a sobering warning: "We don't know how many chances we will get to reverse our democracy's near-death experience. We must not waste this one. We must go big -- the future of democracy demands it."

We agree with Stacey -- it's now or never if we want to save our democracy from a cycle of never-ending corruption and voter suppression.

Holding the GOP representatives who threatened our democracy accountable is not nearly enough. Democrats need to enact extensive progressive change in the next few years to ensure Republicans never have the opportunity to attempt to steal an election again.

While the odds of Trump being exonerated by the Senate are rising by the day, Abrams knows that Democrats still have the chance to send Republicans a message: Your war on democracy is not one you will win.
