John, as we celebrate Black History Month, these words from Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr. are an important reminder of the work that lays
in front of us:

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

The ongoing pandemic has fully exposed the deep-seated racial
injustices that exist in the United States -- for our nation to
truly recover, we must work together to permanently uproot these
systemic inequities and demand bold legislative action to secure
justice for every American.

This year, the Connecticut Democratic Party is celebrating Black
