John -- at this moment, 43 million Americans are being crushed by more than $1.5 trillion in student debt. That’s 1,500,000,000,000. And most of that debt is under the purview of the Department of Education..
That means President Joe Biden could cancel it tomorrow.
More and more of my colleagues are beginning to sign-on for this much needed relief, and I need 10,000 supporters with me. Join me to call on Joe Biden to cancel student debt immediately »

The Bronx holds the second highest amount of student debt in all of New York City -- even I have outstanding student loan balances.
Our young people have been sold this myth that education is the ticket to the American Dream -- yet here we are, a nation of millions of families being crushed by this paralyzing burden.
With many of them Black and Brown borrowers, student debt has come to account for substantial portions of the racial wealth gap.
It doesn’t have to be this way, though. We can relieve student debt, and give our students a chance at a financially stable life without the weight of massive debt.
So John, I need 10,000 people to sign on to tell Joe Biden to forgive student loan debt. Will you add your name before our 11:59 P.M. deadline»
