In a minute, I'm going to share why I believe we need Cory to remain in this race. If you agree, chip in right now to help us hit our $1.7 million end-of-quarter goal.

As you've probably heard by now, our campaign set a goal to raise $1.7 million by the end of the quarter. In fact, hitting this goal will determine if Cory can continue in this race and build a campaign that can go the distance.

So, team, I'm writing you today because we are being radically transparent about the stakes: if this campaign is not in a financial position to grow, and if we don't have the resources we need, then we may not be in this race much longer.

In a moment, I'm going to explain what losing Cory in the race would mean but right now, I'm asking:

If you agree that Cory's voice should remain in this race, make a donation today to keep our campaign on track to raise $1.7 million before our deadline Monday night.

As the only U.S. senator who goes home to a low-income, majority-minority community, Cory brings a very unique voice to the Democratic field. His life experience allows him to speak with uncommon moral clarity about the pain of Americans who feel left out and left behind. I sincerely believe that when people see Cory Booker, they see someone who can inspire -- a leader who is unafraid to take on the structural inequities in our society, whether it's systemic racism, generational poverty or a badly broken criminal justice system.

To know Cory is to know his unwavering belief in the power of bringing people together to take on our biggest challenges. Cory frequently reminds us that our common pain can only be addressed by reigniting our sense of common purpose. You'll often hear him on the trail talking about concepts like "radical love" and "courageous empathy" -- how we can forge a stronger understanding of our commonality despite our differences. These are messages we're not hearing from the other candidates in this race.

If you believe that Cory's vision of love and unity for America deserves to be heard longer in this race, chip in whatever you can.

While his opponents are tearing each other down over policy details or labeling others as insufficiently progressive, Cory remains focused on the mission at hand: uniting the people to defeat Donald Trump.

Cory knows that beating Donald Trump is the floor, not the ceiling. We'll have plenty of work to do to heal our country after years of Trump's hatred and division -- and we need a leader who's ready to acknowledge that. This is the moral leadership we'd be losing without Cory Booker in this race.

Cory's relentless optimism resonates with every person he speaks to. In these dark times, his uplifting candidacy has provided hope to so many who've become disillusioned with the current state of politics. It would be a loss for not only our party but for our country if someone like him was shut out of this race because he couldn't raise enough money to compete.

Cory can be around for the long haul -- and be in a position to win -- but only if we raise $1.7 million by September 30th at 11:59 p.m. It's up to us to make it happen.

This has been quite the journey so far. How much further we make it depends on the support of individuals like you.
